Men’s Tennis Maintains Winning Record Despite Youth

The Bridgewater State University men’s tennis team is playing well with a team full of young players as they are are currently 5-1.

The Bears are currently riding a three match winning streak after dropping their only match of the season to Wheaton College on March 26.

During the winning streak, Bridgewater State has defeated Wheelock College, Western Connecticut State University, and Gordon College. Against Western Connecticut State, the Bears won by a score of 6-3.

Junior captain Jesse Gotlib, junior Eric Johnson,  sophomore Sean Bleau,  and freshman Matt McLeod won their single matches accounting for the Bears six points versus the Colonials.

The win over Western Connecticut State kicked off LEC play for the Bears, and their remaining game are mostly against conference foes with some nonconference opponents still left on the schedule.
