Women’s Lacrosse Brief
The Bridgewater State University women’s lacrosse team improved its record to 13-2 on Monday night with a 23-0 win over Wheelock College. The Bears had ten goals within the first 11 minutes of the game and six goals within the first ten minutes of the second half.
Freshman midfielder Lauren Geary won seventeen draw controls, scored three goals, had an assist, picked up five ground balls and caused three turnovers. Geary now has 149 single season draws, which ranks her in the top five for Division III.
Junior midfielder Taylor Clancy had four goals, and sophomore attacker Riley Cachelin scored four goals and had two assists. Freshman attacker Alexis Hadcock had five assists, a goal and caused two turnovers.
Freshman starting goaltender Chandler Ross and sophomore goaltender Jessica Polaski combined to secure a shutout in net for the Lady Bears.
Bridgewater State has one game left in their regular season before beginning postseason play.
