Delete (2013)
Delete is a terrifying way to look at our dependence on machines for almost every aspect of life. It’s a classic story arch: machine developing beyond control of man, turning against the human race. Delete sets a new bar for scare factor though, considering the supercomputer of this film controls everything – right down to traffic lights. Scary and thought provoking. 4 out of 5.
Arrow (2013)
Arrow is based upon the original storyline of DC Comics hero Green Arrow. Oliver Queen is a young billionaire who becomes stranded on a desert isle for five years. Upon his return to civilization and his playboy life, he develops the persona of Green Arrow and takes to the streets to fight crime. While at times very dramatic, it’s true to the heart of Green Arrow’s personality, and the cinematography is stunning. 4 out of 5.
Paranormal Activity 4 (2012)
The fourth installment of the Paranormal Activity series can be summed up in one word: outrageous. The story picks up where PA2 left off. Katie and her son move into a new neighborhood and make quick work of terrorizing their neighbors. A new collection of the same creepy door-openings and unseen forces dragging people across the floor, the franchise is basically reinventing its own wheel. All things considered, it’s still a pretty awesome, disturbing wheel. 4 out of 5.
