Male Bear of the Week- Matt Green, Senior BSU, Varsity Football

Green led the Bears on Saturday night to an exciting 51-27 victory on the road against Worcester State. The electric runner was able to tally over 300 all-purpose yards in the game. Green made his impact both receiving the ball on offense and also on special teams as a punt returner. The big-time runner scored caught two-touchdown passes in the game and also ran two punt returns for touchdowns. He was also named MASCAC Special Teams player of the week for his outstanding performance.

 

Female Bear of the Week- Shauntel Farland, Freshman, Women’s Cross Country

Farland was the standout athlete for the BSU bears when they traveled to Umass Dartmouth for the cross-country invitational on Saturday afternoon. Farland placed 45th overall, marking her as the top BSU runner in the competition. She completed the five-kilometer layout in a time of 19:28.77. With the help of Farland’s hard running, the Bears were able to finish 15th overall on the day.
