Yik Yak

Apps just keep getting better and better. Yik Yak is a new app available for Apple and Android users. This app is a live feed showing recent posts from people in a 10 mile radius. So what? It’s all anonymous. People can comment and like or unlike the post. Bridgewater State University just got a little weirder.

Thank God it’s..Thursday? Yes, you heard it right, TGIT is the new TGIF (and the weekly trending topic on Twitter). ABC has made us love Thursdays over Fridays, but why? Shonda Rhimes, that’s why. Who is Shonda Rhimes, you may ask? Just the creator of Grey’s Anatomy, Scandal and the new hit show How To Get Away With Murder. Also, that is the lineup for the new ABC Thursdays. If you haven’t seen Grey’s Anatomy or Scandal, go home and binge watch them on Netflix now. I guarantee you that you will not be going out on a Thursday anymore, and will never use the word “Thirsty Thursday” again.

Apple Picking

‘Tis the season for apple crisp, apple cider and apple pie. Get festive by being with your friends and going apple picking! Nothing says pie without fresh apples from a local orchard. C.N Smith Farm in East Bridgewater has an orchard filled with apple trees for the public to pick. Go to their website at cnsmithfarminc.com.

Fall is a huge fashion season. But who wants to look decent and wake up ten minutes earlier to change their pants? Now there’s a way to be comfortable and fashionable without trying! Flannels are a huge fashion statement for fall and yet so comfortable you probably wore it to bed the night before (acceptable). Wearing it over a cute top or sporting an oversize one with leggings, so effortless. Most people can find a flannel in their closets and while searching through your boyfriend’s drawers for another sweatshirt to hoard. Now you can’t make an excuse on why you didn’t have anything else to wear besides your black Northface.

Celebrity Heartbreaks

As the weather gets colder, so do people’s hearts. This past week was full on breakups that even I can’t handle. Let’s start with Amber Rose and Wiz Kalifa divorcing only one year after their wedding and a year and a half after their son was born. Rumors of the two cheating seems like it got the best of them. Jordin Sparks and Jason Derulo have called off their relationship because there was “pressure to get married.” Jason went “On Air with Ryan Seacrest” explaining that the fighting was getting out of hand, so they had to call it quits. Honey Boo Boo’s parents, Mama June and Sugar Bear, also stated that they will be getting a divorce this week. June reportedly found that Sugar Bear was patrolling online dating websites, and then was seeing riding a bull at a girl’s 21st birthday party, TMZ reports. Let the tears flow.

All Is Not Quiet On The CW Front

Although CW has been seeing mass cancellations recently, there have been lots to like in their new shows and new episodes of existing shows. The first episode of the new season of Superman & Lois is a great start, exploring the relationship between Clark and Lois as they consider having another child. The show does […]

Best Of The Oscars 2023

The 95th annual Oscars has finally come around and with that a handful of winners. Hosted by Jimmy Kimmel (he/him) who did a decent job, besides the overflow of ‘the slap’ jokes, the show had plenty of great moments. Along with that, this year surely had an excellent selection of films and I’m quite satisfied […]

Scream VI Ghostface takes New York

The Scream franchise has returned with its 6th installment. As a giant fan of the Scream franchise, I was incredibly excited to see this movie. This time, Ghostface takes on New York City.  The movie follows returning characters Tara Carpenter played by Jenna Ortega (She/Her) and Sam Carpenter played by Melissa Barrera (She/Her). They play […]
