Bears of the Week

Conor Murtagh, Junior, Varsity Soccer

 

Conor Murtagh had an exceptional weekend for the Bear’s varsity soccer team, netting the game-winning goal in a 1-0 shutout victory over Massachusetts Maritime Academy. Murtagh has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men’s Soccer Co-Player of the Week. The go-ahead goal for the win now holds the Bears at 4-1 in the MASCAC and alone at first place. Murtagh has had a very solid season, tallying five goals and an assist in 14 games played.

 

Courtney Pepin, Freshman, Varsity Soccer

 

The young freshman player has been on a role as of late and has the accolades to prove it. For the second straight week in a row, Pepin has been  selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women’s Soccer Rookie of the Week. She scored a goal and also made an assist in a dominant 7-0 BSU victory over Massachusetts Maritime Academy. Pepin now has six goals and four assists in 13 games played. Pepin ranks in the top 10 in the MASCAC in goals (7th), assists (5th), and overall scoring (8th).
