BSU Bears of the Week (10/16)

Male Bear of the Week: Andrew Chenard, Sophomore, Varsity Soccer

Sophomore forward Andrew Chenard led the Bears to a 2-1 victory over Fitchburg State, notching the game-winning goal in the 58th minute of play. Chenard was able to find the loose ball off of a service from senior defender Josh Goehring and slash it towards the goal line. The Kingston native has been a solid facet of the Bears soccer team all season long. He will look to continue to improve and perfect his skills in just his second year of action.

Female Bear of the Week: Hannah Maymon, Sophomore, Varsity Volleyball

Hannah Maymon made a big impact for the Bears varsity volleyball team over the weekend, earning all-tournament honors at the Union Invitational in NY. The outside hitter had an excellent weekend at the Invitational despite the lack of overall success from the Bears. Maymon finished the tournament averaging 10.75 kills and 12.25 digs in the four game stretch. Maymon was quite a force for the Bears and represented BSU well on the road.
