Michael Lofton, Varsity Basketball, Senior, Center/Forward

 

Michael Lofton played a strong game for the Bears on Tuesday, Nov. 25 in a close 58-56 loss on the road against Rhode Island College. Lofton played excellent in a game in which the Bears led with less than 90 seconds to play. He led a Bears squad that has already been in some very exciting games early in the season. Lofton finished the game against RIC with a team-high 13 points to go along with six rebounds, three assists and two blocks. He also fired the game’s final shot as time expired and was so very close to changing the outcome of a very close game.


Megan Boutilette, Varsity Basketball, Senior, Center/Forward

 

Megan Boutilette scored the game winning layup against rival Umass Dartmouth on Tuesday, Dec. 2 to give the Bears a thrilling 57-56 victory. The senior scored 10 points in the game and also added eight rebounds. She grabbed a clutch offensive rebound in the waning seconds of the game which led to her game-winning basket. She is nearing 1000 career points for the Bears, currently at 941 career points.
