Welcome back to BSU everyone! Other than the incredibly harsh weather conditions we’ve been having, we have to get used to our hectic schedules once again.

With lack of sleep and heavy amounts of work that you’re already dealing with, getting ready in the morning can be a struggle. Well, now it doesn’t have to be. With these makeup and beauty tips you’ll save a lot of time and money.

Many people believe that the most important tools to look beautiful is makeup. Although that may seem like it’s true, in reality, makeup can be very harsh and damaging to your skin.

The real beauty tools are actually the ones that cleanse and hydrate your skin, giving you a truly radiant look that will last all day.

When you get up in the morning from a night out or an all nighter, it’s hard to imagine that you took off all your makeup before bed.

The first thing to do is get out a makeup remover pad and quickly take off all your makeup. I recommend using Olay Fresh Effects Facial Wipes ($3.95 at Walmart). Not only are they inexpensive, but the name really speaks for itself.

By using facial wipes, you’re not only removing all of your makeup, but the dirt and oil that had been on your face all day.

Leaving this harsh, disgusting residue on your skin can clog your pores that will cause you to break out in acne. Trust me, you have a lot on your plate already, breakouts and pimples should not be on it as well.

After removing your makeup, you might notice a pimple that just appeared out of nowhere. If you’re in a rush and don’t have time to properly cleanse your face, the best solution is to use an acne remover pen.

The pen is so easy to use and you can even put it in your bag for any emergency touch ups. You can get Elf Essential Zit Zapper for only $1.00 on ikatehouse.com.

BB Cream is one of the latest beauty trends, and it is absolutely essential for busy women who want to protect their skin and keep it healthy. BB cream is a tinted moisturizer that gives your skin a flawless, beautiful complexion.

It’s so good you can even wear it without foundation or powder. I use Covergirl BB Cream. Grab it at Target for only $6.29.

If the BB cream isn’t enough, putting a light powder over it will definitely do the trick. Foundations and powders may give you the results you want, but they’re so expensive. It’s also hard finding out which one is right for you.

Whether you have oily, dry, or sensitive skin, there are so many amazing brands and products that creates their products to help with all their customers needs. Covergirl Clean powders suits different skin types without blowing your budget.

If you’re like me, you like to add some edge to your makeup. If just the natural look doesn’t work for you, get eye shadow and liner that will give you a look you’ll love, giving you time to spare.

Milani Eye Tech Perfection Liquid Eyeliner is only $7.49 at Walgreens, and you should also check out their shadows. Using a liquid liner will give you the perfect cat eye within minutes.

Another thing to remember when buying makeup is knowing your skin tone and which shades are right for you.  It’s a complete waste to buy makeup that doesn’t even your skin tone or look natural.

It can also be expensive and time consuming to drive to all these stores to find the right deals, so why not get them online? Not only will you keep within your budget, you’ll save so much money on gas that you would waste driving all over town.

Above all, choose your look that’s right for you. Whether you’re edgy or prefer the natural look, it’s important to stay true to yourself no matter what it says on television or in the magazines. Stay beautiful.
