BSU Football Dominates in Homecoming Game
Bears Football absolutely dominated at the Homecoming Game on Saturday, October 1st! While hosting Fitchburg State University, Bridgewater State University set new team records with an 82-0 final score.
Led by senior quarterback James Cahoon, BSU completely shut the Falcons down experiencing four explosive quarters, scoring more than 20 points in all but the third. The Bears put up a combined 579 yards of offense, only punting once the entire afternoon.
“The Bears surpassed team single-game records for points (82), touchdowns (12) and greatest margin of victory. The previous single-game scoring record of 64 points was set back in 2005 against Salve Regina and equaled in 2015 versus Mass. Maritime.” reported BSU Athletics.
Despite the rain, waves of fans came out and showed their support for their fellow Bears. For the full recap on the record-breaking game this past weekend, go to https://www.bsubears.com/sports/fball/2022-23/releases/20221001ttguth
