AFC East Team’s Trade for Star Receivers: Adams to Jets; Cooper to Bills
On October 15, the NFL’s trade season officially began, marked by two blockbuster trades within the AFC East. The New York Jets acquired wide receiver Davante Adams from the Las Vegas Raiders, while the Buffalo Bills secured wide receiver Amari Cooper from the Cleveland Browns.
For the Jets, adding Adams not only bolsters their receiving corps but also gives quarterback Aaron Rodgers another elite weapon alongside star receiver Garrett Wilson. Before the trade occurred, Adams and Rodgers had already had considerable experience playing together. The two were a dynamic duo with the Green Bay Packers for many years, as Adams caught 69 touchdowns from Rodgers.

Cooper gives quarterback Josh Allen a go-to option, which is the biggest component missing from their offense.
After a slower-than-expected start, Buffalo’s decision to add Cooper proves they are all-in on this season. With this fresh injection of experience and skill, the Bills hope to solidify their place at the top of the division.
These trades not only boost the Jets’ and Bills’ rosters but also intensify the rivalry in a division where, when healthy, three of the four teams are fighting for a postseason position. Time will tell if these trades pay off, but one thing is for certain: The AFC East just got even more loaded.
