Your Spring Break Checklist
Congratulations to everyone for making it to spring break! It certainly has been a tough and LONG semester, but we’ve finally reached that important break we’ve all needed. That being said, there are still important things to be taken care of both before and during break that, if left forgotten, will come back for ‘homework revenge’ once the week is over.
So how exactly do we get our ducks in a row? Let’s start first with the most obvious one to students that live on campus: completing your checklist before leaving. If you’re like me and naturally create a messy room wherever you go, this is the perfect opportunity for a little bit of spring cleaning. Why not throw out those old dining hall receipts and old previous-semester handouts now instead of waiting for the last day? I waited until the end last year, and I deeply regretted it.
The next big thing is to make sure our schoolwork is good to go. While there may be no classes, homework will follow you to the ends of the Earth. For example, as soon as I get back from the break, I have two tests on Monday and Tuesday, both of which are a large portion of my grade. The solution here is surprisingly not panicking and, instead, to dedicate a bit of time over the break for school. While it certainly can be hard to break away from the ‘vacation mindset,’ you can’t fall too deep, especially considering we still have two months ahead.
And lastly, don’t forget to enjoy yourself. Take some time to hang out with friends, enjoy a good meal, and best of all, sleep, because once the break is over, we will truly be in the Spring 2025 endgame.
