Promising Year for Gaming with Nintendo Directs Previews

Two weeks ago, Nintendo released its first Nintendo Direct regarding the Switch 1. A plethora of new games have been announced to wrap up the games for the now eight-year-old Switch before the jump to the Switch 2 is made.

More news regarding the Pokemon Legends Z-A has been showcased at the event, along with the release dates for a few newer games, including Rhythm Heaven Groove, Rift of the Necrodancer, and Metroid Prime 4. However, the biggest surprise of the direct came up when Tomodachi Life, a game that has not been touched on for 10 years now, made a comeback. Now named Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream, the long-awaited sequel will be released in 2026. Many of the fans were overjoyed as their beloved game came back with a vengeance.

Their last announcement regarded a mobile app called Nintendo Today, allowing someone to see the news, read comics, and so much more. As for the Switch 2 itself, a following direct last Wednesday revealed a lot. For starters, a new Mario Kart called Mario Kart World has been announced, as well as the release date of the Switch Two being released to the public being on June 5, 2025.

The Switch 2 has many new functions, such as having the joycons act as a mouse, a connect button that will allow you to speak with friends and family, and a camera that would show your face to those who want to speak with you. On top of all that, a lot of other games have been announced, such as Deltarune Chapters 3 + 4, Hollow Knight: Silksong, Legend of Zelda, The Imprisoning War, and so, so much more! Be on the lookout for the Switch Two and have fun with it!
