BSU’s Spectacular Student Services!
While on my college search, I sought out for a school that was able to maximize my college experience. Thankfully, I landed upon BSU, which provides me with a multitude of services, educationally and emotionally. As we are starting the school year, and many of us are beginning our college journey, it is important to know what resources are available to you as a BSU student.
If you’re like me and occasionally get lost in the chaos of juggling your course load, I would consider looking into tutoring services. As a communications major, having classes with heavy writing assignments means I am prone to the occasional grammatical error or run-on sentence. Thanks to the Writing Studio, located within Academic Achievement Center (AAC), I can have an extra set of eyes revise my work and give me constructive feedback, ultimately improving my essay. The AAC also offers services for an array of subjects including math, biology, physics, and for my fellow non-philosophical people, critical thinking.
If you’re eligible for accommodations on campus, Student Accessibility Services (SAS) is the place to go. The mission of SAS is to empower students with disabilities to make the most of their university experience through advocacy and accommodation. In their newly renovated office, located on the first floor of Rondileau Student Union (RSU), SAS supports in creating an accessible academic and living environment for all BSU students.
The final resource I am highlighting in this article is Internship and Career Services. This center can assist in everything job search related, from buffing up your resume to providing a stipend through BSU funding for unpaid internships. If you’re looking for more business-professional outfit options, stop by Bear Essentials, located within Internship and Career Services. This service is available to all BSU students!
