Need a Space to Study? No Problem!
All around Bridgewater State University, there are a multitude of study spaces that offer a calming, efficient environment to work. As an English major myself, I’ve always been attached to the vibes of any library, but Maxwell Library has a special place in my heart. Each floor is filled with cozy corners, beautiful windows, and even study pods to work in, depending on what environment works best for you. The large, comfortable sets of chairs found on the second and third floors work wonderfully for a cozy spot to read or do work (and are, personally, a favorite of mine). The study rooms available in the library are another wonderful space for students to work; whether you want a private room to yourself or a space for group assignments, the reserved rooms located all across Maxwell provide a private and engaging space to complete assignments. Many rooms also have televisions and multiple outlets for chargers.
There are also many wonderful study areas outside, with the multitudes of benches found at differing areas of campus. University Park is a favorite of mine as the large umbrellas create a comfortable amount of shade. When walking along the west side of campus, outside of the greenhouse, there is an incredible study area. Surrounded by plants and wildlife, there is a large whiteboard surrounded by comfortable benches to work in. DMF is also a personal favorite of mine; it has large windows with beautiful natural light, along with multiple plants surrounding little corners to study in. Many of the areas mentioned also have food or drink options close by, making it incredibly easy to get a small snack or pick-me-up during long study sessions.
Whether you study best alone, with multiple people, outside, inside, in loud settings, or in pitch quiet spaces, there are a multitude of study options available depending on what you need to succeed.
