Updates within the Video Gaming World
The video game industry has been on an uprise as of late. Here are the multitude of video game updates you’ve missed during summer break.
First and foremost, Deltarune Chapters 3 + 4 has been released. It has a lot more content, an excellent story, and new jamming music to listen to. Next, Hollow Knight: Silksong has also been recently released. The game was heavily teased, and their fans have been waiting for a long time—so much so that the Steam site crashed due to the influx of people trying to buy the game.
It’s not just indie games that are getting attention, though. The long-awaited Nintendo Switch 2, sequel to the original Switch, has finally come out. Along with it, two new games have been released. The new iteration of Mario Kart World, and the brand new 3D platformer Donkey Kong Bananza. The former has an open world to drive through, missions, as well as intermission races in between the tracks, although most players don’t like them very much, aside from when played during the new “Knockout Tour” game mode. The latter is the first 3D Donkey Kong game in roughly 20 years. With Pauline being a sidekick, the Void Kong Co. serve as the main antagonists, as well as the return of a certain crocodile.
It’s not just Nintendo making a new racing game, though, for Sega recently released their own Sonic Racing: Crossworlds. It features many Sonic characters racing across different worlds. Another game to look out for is an up and coming Resident Evil game that many have been looking forward to. Along with that, the Nintendo Direct was released last week, with plenty of new content to look forward to. It’s safe to say it’s all full steam ahead for these games.
