New Ozzy Osbourne Documentary Coming to Paramount+
If you thought you didn’t get enough of Ozzy Osbourne after Back to the Beginning this past summer, then you won’t be disappointed. Paramount+ is releasing a new documentary on October 7 titled Ozzy Osbourne: No Escape From Now, directed by Tania Alexander. According to the heavy metal legend’s website, the documentary will chronicle the challenges Osbourne faced since his decline in 2019.
Osbourne revealed that he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2020, ahead of the release of his solo album Ordinary Man (2020). The documentary will focus on the lead-up to the Back to the Beginning concert in Birmingham, England, which was pushed by Osbourne’s declining health and his desire to say goodbye to his fans.
The documentary will feature members of the Osbourne family such as his wife Sharon, his daughters Kelly and Aimee Osbourne, and his son Jack Osbourne. Outside of his family, it will also include Back to the Beginning organizer Tom Morello, Metallica frontman James Hetfield, Osbourne’s final producer Andrew Watt, longtime Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi, and Ozzy guitarist Zakk Wylde.
Since Osbourne’s passing on July 22, 2025, there has been a wave of tributes. After his passing, the Black Sabbath Bridge was adorned with flowers and other tributes. Another such tribute was at the 2025 MTV VMAs, where Yungblud and Aerosmith members Steven Tyler and Joe Perry, alongside Extreme guitarist Nuno Bettencourt, performed a tribute to Ozzy. This documentary is the latest in a series of Ozzy-related material since he passed over the summer.
