Soaring into FSL Recruitment!
Upcoming is the Bridgewater community’s welcome to Fraternity and Sorority life (FSL) on campus: recruitment week. Students will have the chance to join one of BSU’s nine chapters.
Over the past few weeks, FSL has given students a feel of what it is like to be a part of Greek life at BSU. The organizations have held a variety of events from Sweets with Sororities, to Sigma Chi’s Casino Night.
When thinking of Greek life, students tend to imagine your stereotypical, Bama-rush sorority, but you won’t find that at BSU. The goal of FSL is to help BSU students give back to those in need. As someone who attended FSL events last year, some highlights of volunteer work included Pie-A-Sig, where all acquired funds went to Huntsman Cancer Research, and most notably, “Walk a Mile,” an event put on to raise awareness about sexual violence.
This week is recruitment week for BSU’s sororities. Students will undergo a series of meeting the philanthropies, finding their fit, and ultimately being inducted to a sorority. You even get a pretty sick t-shirt out of it.
If you missed fall recruitment, don’t fret! Students will have the opportunity to be inducted into a sorority in the spring semester through informal recruitment.
Joining Fraternity and Sorority Life at BSU is a great opportunity for BSU students. It is a great way to meet students with similar interests, be involved in the community, and become a part of a family.
