Things to Do Off Campus!
There’s a lot of fun to be had on campus! …That being said, it can get a little tiring to see the same scenery over and over again. So, where do you go? What can you do? Like a long menu at a fancy restaurant, let’s take a look at our options.
Just a quick walk up Summer Street already gives us a lot of options, especially if you’re hungry. The Boundless Bean is a great place to go for breakfast and has a lot of different delicious options such as my personal favorite, the chocolate chip scones. If you walk a little further and take a right onto Broad Street you’ll come to Campus Plaza that is filled with food options like Papa Gino’s, McDonalds, and 99 Restaurants. There’s also a Roche Brothers and Burlington if you suddenly find yourself in the shopping mood.
As most of you know, there is also a train that drives through Bridgewater State’s campus and leads to Boston. That being said, have you actually tried taking it before and spending the day in Boston? While being in a new setting may be a scary experience for some, there is a lot—and I mean a lot—to do in Boston. If you like art history, why not check out the Museum of Fine Arts? Do you want some good scenery? Check out the Boston Common. Admittedly it may be a day of a lot of walking and also checking the train schedule, but a fun day nonetheless.
As you can see, there are a lot of different places to go off campus whether it be a short walking distance or a longer distance. For the best experience, I definitely recommend going with a friend or friend group. After all, fun activities are even more fun with friends!
