Cut & Paste is a scrapbooking and junk-journaling club that strives to create and maintain a kind and supportive art community at BSU. If you’re new to scrapbooking, don’t worry! The club encourages people to explore their creative sides and new hobbies by providing your junk-journaling essentials.
The club was co-founded by President Rachel Moore and Vice President Danica Shanahan—both transfer students and avid scrapbookers. As transfer students, they recognize how hard it can be to form personal connections in a new environment. The founders strive to create a space where people of shared hobbies can connect through a creative environment.
Each week has a new theme for the meeting. Recently they have held scrapbook bingo, letter to your future self night, and even mystery supply nights. With their variety of meeting themes and events, everyone is sure to find something most suitable to them. The club is passionate about showcasing members’ work and creativity.
As it is a newly established student organization, the meeting place varies per week. The club is working to get a designated meeting space for the spring semester. In the meantime, you can find frequent updates on their Instagram page, @cutandpaste_bsu, as well as their flyers, posted around campus.
