Seattle Seahawks Win Super Bowl LX
The Seattle Seahawks secured their second Super Bowl title by defeating the New England Patriots 29-13 at Levi’s Stadium on Sunday, February 8.
From the opening kickoff to the final whistle, the Seahawks maintained control, driven by a dominant defensive performance. Seattle’s defense forced several punts and turnovers while consistently pressuring the Patriots’ quarterback, Drake Maye, sacking him six times and limiting New England’s scoring chances for most of the game.
Leading the offensive efforts was the Seahawks’ running back Kenneth Walker III, who led his team’s ground game with 135 rushing yards and earned the title of Most Valuable Player of Super Bowl LX. Walker became the first running back in nearly three decades to receive Super Bowl MVP honors, the first since Terrell Davis in 1998.
Quarterback Sam Darnold also played a crucial role, not turning the ball over and helping Seattle sustain drives, while kicker Jason Myers made history with five field goals, setting a new Super Bowl record.
Although the Patriots attempted to mount a late rally in the fourth quarter, New England struggled to find offensive rhythm against Seattle’s aggressive defense all game long. Though they proved many wrong all season long, it was a challenging end to a season that saw one of the NFL’s youngest quarterbacks rise to superstardom.
During halftime, Super Bowl LX featured global music icon Bad Bunny, who headlined the performance. Joined by surprise guests Lady Gaga and Ricky Martin, Bad Bunny’s performance combined high-energy production with cultural storytelling that celebrated Puerto Rican and American heritage.
The game attracted a crowd of more than 70,000 fans to Levi’s Stadium and approximately 100 million viewers nationwide, making it one of the most-watched sporting events of the year.
