SNL Geese Performance: A Review
Reigning from Brooklyn, NY, Geese has made a name for themselves as the new band on the block. Lead singer and frontman Cameron Winter, who broke through the music scene with his most recent solo performance at a sold-out Carnegie Hall in New York City, was joined by his band consisting of Emily Green (guitar), Max Bassin (drums), and Dominic Digesu (bass).
Geese’s most recent performance was held on the Saturday Night Live stage as a musical guest, with an average viewership of 4 million, and was met with mixed reception. Geese performed two of their most recognizable tracks of their 2025 release Getting Killed: “Au Pays Du Cocaine” and “Trinidad.”
The first performance was met by an overall positive reaction comparatively to the second, where most of the band’s backlash was received. The first song “Au Pays Du Cocaine” is a soft melody about change, love, and heartbreak, while the second and final song was performed as alternative, grungy, and louder than ever, leaving the audience and viewers with plenty of different reactions to the live performance. In 2025 alone, SNL hosted a variety of musical artists such as: A$AP Rocky, Sabrina Carpenter, Cher, Doja Cat, and Lady Gaga, with an average of 11.2 million monthly listeners among them all, leaving Geese, with an average of 2 million monthly listeners, to be the odd one out.
Some viewers have since referred to Geese as “the worst SNL musical guest of all time,” while others believe the band’s performance was “just mind-blowing.” The SNL performance is viewed by fans of Geese as just the beginning of their upcoming career, warning listeners, audiences, and viewers to look out for the undeniable rise of Geese.
