The Plague of Misinformation
We all saw the Truth Social post. There is no denying that President Trump posted a video that specifically depicts former first lady Michelle Obama and former president Barack Obama as apes. There is no denying that he posted it with the intent of being racist. There aren’t even apes in the movie The Lion King, so it couldn’t have been a reference to that movie like he and his admin tried to play off. So, why are people so divided on these facts?
The short answer is that this whole “facts don’t care about your feelings” crowd get really in their feelings when you tell them the facts. The long answer is that our current government has strategically curated a bubble of misinformation that is so convoluted due to AI and inflammatory social media posts that people genuinely will close their eyes to facts if it means they can continue to support the regime without any question.
I mean it’s already happened. People are currently blaming the Biden administration for the lack of Epstein files being released and overt protection of child predators. Let me ask, what in the wolrd does Biden currently have to do with anything? Last time I checked, they elected a different old fart into the office. Don’t you think it’s a little ageist to throw them all in the same bag?
All I am trying to say is that people have lost the art of thinking for themselves. Maybe it is the rise in AI making people believe they are uncovering revelations undiscovered by man. Remember, a real person had to come up with the concepts that those water guzzling machines still cannot get correct. Misinformation will only worsen the more we allow people to casually lose their critical thinking skills.
