Tomodachi Life: Living The Dream set to release in two months
Two weeks ago, Nintendo dropped a direct for Tomodachi Life: Living The Dream, much to great fanfare.
Tomodachi Life was first launched all the way back in 2014 on the Nintendo DS. It was a slow, peaceful game, where you let Miis onto your island and try to maintain their happiness. You can feed them food and make them do activities, among other things. These Miis can also form relationships, which could strengthen or weaken depending purely on chance.
The game was very successful; however, for twelve years, the game has not gained a sequel or an update until recently. Releasing on April 16 of this year, on the Nintendo Switch 2, Tomodachi Life: Living The Dream is expected to be welcomed much to great affair. It offers a lot more than its original counterpart: better graphics, more humor, and so much more.
Another thing which is very new for this game is the potential for same sex relationships. This was absent from the original, much to the annoyance of some fans. Thankfully, Nintendo is more open to let this particular game have more experiences and the gameplay to be more inclusive as well as representing all players better. You can also make Miis non-binary or aromantic in this new game. It seems to be quite the improvement from the original, and when it’s released, more fans both old and new can enjoy it for what it is.
The game will cost roughly $59.99 if you preorder it before release. However, only time will tell what the pricing will be when the game comes out. All that can be said is that this game will be worth the money to play.
