Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally. Jam Out FOREVER!
I enjoy being annoying, truly. If I am not being annoying about a book I am reading or a topic I am learning about, then you can bet I am being annoying about something else, like a TV show I have seen far too many times over or music that may or may not be playing in my headphones when you see me.
So, when my good friend texted me “Harry Styles,” there were no other words needed for me to understand that come March 6, 2026, I would become an entirely new type of annoying—the “Harry Styles is dropping a new album, and I have been a fan of his since 2010” kind that tends to either bring me closer to my peers or drive them up a wall.
Whatever type of person you may be when it comes to British babe Harry Styles, there is one thing that is true—music brings people together. It acts as unity, and that unity is exactly what Harry Styles sets out to capture in his new album Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally.
My favorite track, “Aperture,” captures the overall theme and mood of the album perfectly. It beckons you to dance, reflect, sing, and most of all, let go as you blend into the beats and instrumentals. The album moves together seamlessly, moving into the energetic “American Girls” and extremely catchy “Ready, Steady, Go!”
The latter half of the album takes the early momentum and carries it into a subdued electronic dance sound that is very movement-forward but calm. Songs such as “Pop” and “Dance No More” invite you to feel the music while maintaining a mindful tune you could study with if you wanted.
Overall, the album is a great reminder of what music is and can be: a tool of movement but also of peace!
