Does Bridgewater State Unviersity Need More Bus Stops?
The bus transport system at Bridgewater State University is a vital part for people to get around. Be it for the green, yellow, or red lines or using it to get to other places, it’s a good way to get around. However, recently, the question of should the campus get more bus stops has been brought up.
With more students needing to walk to the right buildings to get to their classes or just get to an area to eat, or heading back to their dorms, it’s not uncommon to hear them complain about the fact of a limited number of bus stops. So, does the University need more of them? The answer is obviously no.
Both the east and west side of campus have an equal amount of reasonable bus stops, with the west having both bus stops by Harrington and the Art Center, it is easy to get to places in a short amount of time. The only feasible bus stop that could work would be close to the student union building or Maxwell Library. The problem with that is that other vehicles, such as cars and trucks, need to access specific points. They already have the trouble of either going through the DMF parking lot or going around the library itself and up and around the area until you come back to Harrington.
Making new bus stops would unnecessarily lengthen the time it would take for students to get to their destinations on time. Bridgewater State University does not need more bus stops as it already has plenty of them. Students would just have to get used to exercising a lot more by walking in half the time. After all, it doesn’t waste time or gas, and it’s not inconvenient.
