Rising Female Artist: Cece Natalie
If you haven’t heard of Cece Natalie, you will soon. Mia Ferrentino, also known for her pop persona Cece Natalie, is a 20-year-old rising artist who is quickly dominating the hyperpop scene. Cece is described as a fantasy version of Mia, her guardian angel, leading her to find herself and inspiring the creation of her debut album. She got her start at 15 years old, debuting her track “Make it work” on Soundcloud, and has since released two albums and a variety of singles, such as her most popular track “Like a taxi (Oh well).”
She indulges in a multitude of genres, exploring everything from rock to electro-pop. After releasing her debut album Miss Behaves in 2023, she quickly amassed near 40,000 monthly listeners. Her recent internet traction has led her to create a loyal fanbase, with a current audience of 375,000 monthly listeners on Spotify alone.
Cece took to the stage for the first time this past year with shows in both New York City and Los Angeles and has since opened for artists such as electronic music duo Snow Strippers and perreo-pop artist Isabella Lovestory. It was recently announced that Cece would open for PinkPantheress for her upcoming tour An Evening With PinkPantheress most known for her trending song “Stateside.”
Her trap beats and remnants of R&B vocals harvest a mid-2000s pop sound, taking inspiration from her favorite pop star, Britney Spears. Cece Natalie doesn’t yearn for sudden stardom; she aims for fame. With her commitment to production and performance, she looks to create a realm of her own, rather than categorizing herself in the pop scene. Her true craft lies in producing, if she didn’t make the beat herself, she can’t embody expression in her work.
