The Super Mario Galaxy Movie Released—A Review
It’s time for another Super Mario adventure—this time, up in space!
Last week, on April 1, The Super Mario Galaxy Movie was released in theaters. It’s a non-stop adventure, as Mario and Luigi travel in the cosmos with their pal, Yoshi, to stop Bowser Jr. from getting his father back before the two cause chaos throughout the galaxy.
On their journey, they face off against many familiar faces and meet familiar friends, such as the princess of the cosmos, Rosalina. Princess Peach also has her own adventure too, facing off against Wart, a Mario enemy that hasn’t been seen in a long time.
Other characters are also in this movie, such as the Pikmin and the one and only Star Fox! Considering this movie takes place in space, it’s only fitting to have these characters join in on the adventure. The past voice crew have also returned, with some new additions, such as Luis Guzman as Wart, Donald Glover as Yoshi, and Brie Larson as Rosalina.
This movie is even better than the previous one, with an awesome musical score to back it up. Everything has received a gloss-up, with some minor hiccups along the way. Despite that, The Super Mario Galaxy Movie is a movie for everyone to enjoy. It carries even more references to previous Mario games, the stakes are higher than ever before, and it’s a movie that no one can look away from.
It’s highly recommended to watch this movie as it’s a celebration of Mario’s 40th anniversary. So, buckle up and prepare for blast off because this movie is out of this world!
