Navigating MyBSU: A Digital Hub for Diverse Student Needs

Delivering easy access to a wide range of resources and information on academics, accommodations, finances, career planning, campus culture, and more, MyBSU is the college’s central digital portal for all students. To access it, go to bridgew.edu, click the “Quick Links” sidebar, and select “My BSU” or go directly to experience.elluciancloud.com/mybsu. Upon entering the site, students will be prompted to log in to their account if not already logged in and, from there, can access the program’s resources.

The program is primarily built around “cards,” each acting as a unique resource reflecting a certain need, several of which will be discussed at length in other articles of this special edition of The Comment. Each card can be organized by dragging and dropping, and connects to a program or webpage accessible through the BSU system.

For academic matters, MyBSU’s cards display your daily schedule; graduation progress and GPA via DegreeWorks; advisor’s contact information; upcoming course cancellations; along with quick links to digital library resources, classes on BlackBoard, and registration through InfoBear. As for health and wellness, there are relevant links connecting students to the office of Student Accessibility Services (SAS), the Wellness Center, the CARE Team, and documents on other support systems at BSU.

On-Campus students can use the Housing card to apply for a new room, withdraw from housing, request facilities or housing assistance, obtain a meal plan, pay their housing deposit, and review information on resident policies.

MyBSU also has cards for upcoming social events, financial aid and personal billing records, Connect Card balance, tech support, job offerings on Handshake, recent email and Microsoft OneDrive activity, off-campus dining locations, scheduling appointments on EAB Navigate 360, local weather, parking lot hours, a customizable to-do list, and a feedback form on the website, along with a calendar with all upcoming sports games and significant academic dates.

The “≡” sidebar in the top left corner brings access to additional resources, including the timesheet for student employees, the digital bookstore, the full university course catalogue, the employee directory, the Academic Achievement Center, wireless printing, centers for multiple diverse identity groups, the student handbook, and more.
